Job Description

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Controller for a food manufacture in Chicago, IL area! This role requires a hands on approach engaging directly with the business and understanding its complexities and connecting with team members. The Controller will oversee a $500M+ business with import and manufacturing components. The candidate will report directly to the CFO & expected to be in the office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the CFO & global team to provide accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Direct external audits to be completed on time and within budget
• Develop and implement policies and procedures across global business units
• Lead the development of high performing teams
• Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Leverage systems and shared services to drive efficiency and ensure strong controls
• Partner with internal audit for internal controls and compliance with policies and procedures
• Act as liaison between external auditors and company’s views on technical accounting matters
• Manage and support tax compliance
• Support the annual budget process, financial forecasts, and reporting of KPIs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• CPA required
• 15+ years accounting & finance experience
• 5+ years senior finance leadership experience
