Position: Tech Writer

Location: Columbus, OH 43215 (Onsite Monday-Friday, parking is free)

Hours: Normal 8-5

Pay Rate: $30-$50/hr, OT eligible

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate degree in in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of administrative/documenting experience
• Technical writing experience including editing, proofreading, and content creation
• Ability to create and edit text, structural formatting, tables, and import objects and images
• Experience with tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
• Familiarity with online Document Management Systems (DMS)

Plusses:

• Project management skills
• Experience in the utility industry

Day to Day: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that helps users understand and utilize our products effectively. This role involves collaborating with various departments to gather information, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining high standards of quality in all written materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Documentation Creation : Write and edit user manuals, online help guides, product specifications, and other technical documents.
• Research : Conduct thorough research to ensure the accuracy and clarity of documentation.
• Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and clarify technical details.
• Content Management : Update and manage content in documentation systems or websites.
• Quality Assurance : Perform quality checks to ensure documents meet standards and are free of errors.
• Feedback Integration : Review and incorporate feedback from team members and users to improve documentation.
