Belief Faith Fruition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering returning citizens for successful reentry and long-term societal reintegration. Our mission is to break the cycle of incarceration by providing individualized reentry plans and comprehensive care packages to individuals returning to Northern Virginia within three years of their release date.

Position Overview:

Belief Faith Fruition is seeking a passionate and strategic Public Relations & Digital Marketing Intern and Volunteer to enhance our organization’s visibility, reputation, and community engagement. This remote, work-from-home position offers a flexible schedule, allowing interns and volunteers to contribute meaningfully while balancing other commitments. This role will be responsible for developing and executing communication and digital marketing strategies that increase awareness of our mission, foster relationships with key stakeholders, and support fundraising and advocacy efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive public relations and digital marketing strategy to promote Belief Faith Fruition’s mission, programs, and impact.
• Cultivate relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage in local and national publications.
• Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and feature stories highlighting success stories, events, and initiatives.
• Manage social media channels and create compelling content that engages the public and drives awareness.
• Oversee the development of promotional materials, including newsletters, brochures, and digital content.
• Coordinate and support public events, press conferences, and community outreach efforts.
• Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing insights and recommendations for improving PR efforts.
• Assist in digital marketing campaigns, including social media advertising, email marketing, and website content management.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including development, marketing, and program staff, to ensure consistent messaging across all communication platforms.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Interest or experience in public relations, media relations, or digital marketing, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing tools.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with media professionals and community partners.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for social justice, criminal justice reform, and reentry support services.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with nonprofits or advocacy organizations.
• Familiarity with reentry challenges and community-based support services.
• Knowledge of grant writing and fundraising communications.

Compensation:

This is an unpaid internship/volunteer position that offers valuable hands-on experience in public relations and digital marketing for a mission-driven organization.
