Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in HVAC and industrial mechanical systems design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chiller plant, boiler plant, piping and ductwork design, HVAC load calculations, and industrial exhaust system design. This role requires proficiency in Revit and preferably Navisworks, along with familiarity with various codes and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop HVAC and industrial mechanical systems.
• Perform HVAC load calculations and design piping and ductwork systems.
• Develop chiller and boiler plant designs.
• Design industrial exhaust systems.
• Ensure compliance with International Mechanical Code 2021, ISO cleanroom requirements, ASHRAE 62.1, OSHA requirements, and NFPA standards (68, 69, 72, 90A, 90B, and 92).
• Solve complex problems in a high-paced environment.
• Travel to project sites as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in HVAC or industrial mechanical systems design.
• Proficiency in Revit; Navisworks experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of chiller plant, boiler plant, piping and ductwork design, HVAC load calculations, and industrial exhaust system design.
• Familiarity with International Mechanical Code 2021.
• Knowledge of ISO cleanroom requirements, ASHRAE 62.1, and OSHA requirements.
• Understanding of NFPA standards (68, 69, 72, 90A, 90B, and 92).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in industrial dust collecting system design.
• Clean room design experience.
• Hazardous space design experience.
