Job Description

The most successful litigators are not always the loudest or the most boisterous; they are the most curious, the most detail-oriented, the best prepared, and the most willing to outwork the opposing side.

Bliss Law Group (BLG) is hiring Family Law Litigators to join our growing team. If you love advocacy, obsess over details, and have a passion for Family Law, we want to speak with you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

With strategy, empathy, and clear communication, you’ll be a trusted advocate, guiding clients through some of the most pivotal moments of their lives. Your work will empower clients to move forward with confidence, providing the clarity and resolution they need to build a better future. In this role, you’ll make a meaningful difference every day—helping clients navigate complex family law matters with compassion and expertise.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing cases from inception through temporary orders, discovery, mediation, settlement, and, when necessary, trial.

  • The competent provision of legal services, including but not limited to legal research; drafting motions, pleadings, orders, and status updates; overseeing and analyzing discovery; and developing strategies.

  • Maintaining communication with clients via email, phone, and/or in-person meetings.

  • Recording time and client interactions contemporaneously in the case management system and billing a minimum of 1550 hours per calendar year.

  • Delegating to Paralegals and support staff to accomplish tasks, and remaining responsible for ensuring the timely and professional completion of the work.

  • Monitoring the assigned caseload and moving cases forward through defined milestones to completion.

  • Attending meetings, classes, and workshops designated for team growth and development.

  • Attending networking events and being an active member of the community.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have earned a stellar reputation in Pierce County and are proficient in WA Family Law.
  • You possess a growth mindset and see "failure" as an opportunity to learn and grow.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You embrace technology and are computer savvy.
  • You enjoy collaboration and teaching others.
  • You are comfortable delegating tasks to appropriate team members.
  • Licensed by and in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association.
